PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Hello snowmobilers!

The election results are in and yes, we do have a new president. Not only have the democrats taken the nation’s highest seat, they also won quite a few others. Is this a good thing, or bad thing? That is a question that only the future can answer.

Traditionally democrats, as a whole, are not very friendly to our sport. Will this be the case this time? I sincerely hope that this new group of democrats will truly change this country for the better. But motorized sports fans beware! This is a call to all of us to watch closely what is going on. I know the environmentalist movement is very excited to have the democrats in power. These people, who have caused us great pain, find the democrats to be more favorable to their extreme ideas. Each and every one of us must stick together to fight for the ground we have gained in the past. All of our trails that we love so much may come under the scrutiny of this new administration. I truly hope that my fears will not be realized and the new President Elect will live up to the challenge of true change for the better for all Americans.

Enough said about politics! I would like to invite each and every member to our annual Ride-In. This event will once again be held in Grayling, Michigan. This is an awesome opportunity to bring family and friends together to create memories that will last forever. Bring a friend who is new to the sport and introduce him or her to organized snowmobiling at its best! Remember, there is going to be an extra day added to the event. Festivities will begin Thursday night this year with scheduled events all day Friday, in addition to the weekend’s events.

Remember to keep your eye on Washington while always riding safe. I hope to see all of you in January at the Ride-In.

Keep it Really Safe!

Tim Phillips

About the Ohio State
Snowmobile Association

The Ohio State Snowmobile Association exists ultimately to promote a greater interest in snowmobiling, safety while snowmobiling, and the development of public snowmobile trails and facilities within Ohio as well as in other areas. The OSSA works hard with government officials as well as other organizations dedicated to preserving the recreationalists’ right to recreate on public and private lands. The OSSA holds various family-oriented events each year to promote the sport of snowmobiling. Such events include the annual OSSA Snow Dayz Snowomobile Show, the OSSA Annual Ride-In, and the annual OSSA Spring Meeting. The OSSA has it’s sights set on continued expansion and development of new events, benefits, and members. Many OSSA affiliated clubs also hold special trips and events. Membership to the O.S.S.A.
